Update: Patience

Things are great. I said a lot of stuff the last post. I have to tell myself to be patience. It's all going to come together, I just have to pace myself & be patience. I do give all the glory & praise to God for my success. I'm humbled & so very grateful for the favor that's on my life. Jesus is someone who I talk to about everything & when it comes to this, He is the only person I can ask for help & talk things out with at any given time. I don't have too many people who I can talk to about this & even the ones I do, I can't talk about everything; feedback varies from person to person because the perspective of a designer, consumer & artist all differ. Support is a blessing, however, I don't like dotage...

Anyways, it's about time I posted photos. I was going to post the photos of the dyed crop tops I did, but I'll do it next post. These are the stickers

I've been putting them up where I think people are going to see them in the area I live. The next time I go to New York, I'll put a bunch up. I put one up in Brownsville on Howard & Pitkin. I really, really hope it's still there. I sure it is. Who would take down a sticker off a stop sign, or whatever the sign was.

These are the hang tags. I was going to make the 'adorá' black with a white background, but I felt it should be the other way around. It worked & I really like this. I'm looking forward to designing more unique hang tags for pieces that'll be coming soon.

These are woven labels. I designed them solely for the denim dad hats. The colors will stand out, but also match with the denim itself.

I had to iron down the fold so I could get it the way I wanted it to be sewn onto the hat. Honestly, I could had ordered them with the fold, but it added too much fabric. Plus, they charged extra for that. I didn't need it anyways, so why would I do that.

This came out really good & I'm happy. The bottom, I don't even know how it wasn't going straight, but I totally didn't fix fast enough. It be like that. The next one's won't look like that. It's been a while since I sewn. I'm planning on doing a lot, so I'll be looking for a sewing buddy too. Maybe someone I can get to sew for me?

I don't know what else to say. I still have a lot of stuff coming in the mail. I'm looking for models. I found some, but I didn't contact them through my business email yet. I know it'll work, I just want it to be done correctly. I need to write contracts so I can go to them & what not. Never did that before, but I have mentor & a bunch of friends who know about that, so it'll happen. I just gotta get started.
