Okay, so I'm going to making cropped crewneck sweaters. I only did this once before. The first time I did it, the threading wasn't straight. My sewing has got better since then. But yeah, I'm going to give you guys the whole spiel.
So boom, before the sewing starts, had to look up the best type of crewneck to use. I brought three different brands. Honestly, I couldn't find the Hanes one when I was looking. But peep, one of the crewnecks I brought was the best crewneck I have ever purchased. Ever. It was such a good quality, I decided to save it for something else. Anyhow, I went with the Port & Company. If I find a new brand to use for this in the future, I will change to that.
Now we go to the hands-on activities. I got my cutting mat, fabric scissors & rotary cutter.

I have measuring tape because this is really a custom piece. I was making it for my fit model. Once I know what I'm doing when it comes to her measurements, I can adjust for all sizes. She's really a XS/S, so I ended up going with a small for her.

So after I cut it, I moved on to the sewing. I had to make sure I had enough to fold the fabric over to make the little pouch like area or the elastic I was putting inside of it.

Here, I used safety pins to pull the elastic through the fold after sewing most of it up. I used a second safety pin to make sure it wouldn't go completely through & get lost.

I used a certain amount of elastic band based on her measurements I took of her waist. I didn't want it to be too tight, but she hasn't tried it on yet, so I'm just hoping it's not. The sewing of it wasn't hard, but I had to made sure that after I sewed the ends together, I didn't sew it together with the crewneck when I put it inside the fold.
And now I'm done.

Have to include a close up so you all can see that how clean it look. I mean, sheeeesh.

I'm waiting for her to come over so I can place the patch perfectly. Once I do, I'll record it in my notes & let her keep the shirt after I take some more photos. I have the notes on it, so I don't need it, especially since I made it using her measurements. Maybe I shouldn't give it to her so soon, but if I make that mistake, I'll just learn from it. I'm not pressed.
This the patch by the way. It's very high quality. I love it a lot. I wish embroidery was as high quality as this, but it all depends on certain things. You can't normally get this level of detail in a small embroidery piece for the low...

I got a lot more stuff to post about, but I'm going to keep it light with the words & post more photos. I think that's the move. I know people care about my thoughts & want to hear me share them, but I have to balance out when I do that.
Photos of the adorá Roses tees soon. I'll be ironing on the labels for them tonight. I need to get my sleep schedule back together. It's one in the morning & I'm working on this, writing a blog post. I love it. Things are looking very great.
I wish you all success. I appreciate who ever took the time to read this. Have a blessed day. I love you.
